I was thrilled to join Gibraltar’s Renewable Energy Group in August 2021. From day one, I’ve been in awe of the passion and dedication I’ve experienced in our company—and in the entire solar industry. Gibraltar recently announced exciting news about our vision and direction. I’d like to share some thoughts about our new brand and what we’re striving toward.
Our team truly believes in the potential of renewable energy to power the world. We entered the solar space in 2015 and have expanded our portfolio over the last six years. Now we’re kicking the momentum into overdrive with Terrasmart, our integrated renewable energy business unit.

The new Terrasmart brings together the expertise, power and potential of four industry innovators—RBI Solar, SolarBOS, TerraSmart and Sunfig under a broadened Terrasmart banner. - RBI Solar’s custom-designed and engineered pile-foundation racking systems offer time-saving advantages that fit each site’s unique needs. And its innovative canopy solutions are custom built to streamline execution, limit risk, and meet budget, performance and aesthetic goals.
- TerraSmart’s ingenious ground-screw foundations, rack designs and glide ground mounts make even the toughest sites solar friendly and take terrain risk out of the picture. And its performance-enhancing TerraTrak Single Axis Tracker + PeakYieldTM Control Technology maximize energy production while keeping assets safe in all weather conditions.
