Quick Talk Session By Jake Bartosch – June 11, 1:30–1:45pm – Session Room 2 (Lilac B & D)

How Software Can Boost Solar Project Yield And Returns

While machine learning and AI enhancements are re-booting the PV landscape, understanding which software platforms make sense can be challenging. Community and utility-solar EPCs and developers need a pulse on how latest advancements optimize project design and system performance. Ground-mount racking companies are innovating new system design software, such as SIFT, early on in the design phases to save valuable time, lower installation cost, reduce the need for grading, and increase ground coverage—ultimately resulting in stronger project ROI. Later in the system lifecycle, O&M software helps trackers perform at their peak in all conditions. Machine learning systems protect trackers from damaging weather events, minimize the revenue impact of downtime and asset loss. This presentation will offer tangible insight to EPCs managing tight budgets and schedules, while developers and asset owners will learn how to leverage technology to reap stronger returns.

Terrasmart is known in the industry for its foundation-agnostic ground mount offering across fixed racks and flexible trackers. Terrasmart’s proprietary software platforms improve energy production goals that lower installation costs, maximize ground coverage, cut grading and make new gains in land utilization to help identify the most optimal racking configuration, and increase system yield.
