DESMOND HEYES

ORANGE, MA
7.3 MW | GLIDE AGILE

The Terrasmart field team had an unique challenge with this project; having to install around draingage swales (water bars) across the site. The drainage swales were dug to slow water down the 28% slope and divert water away from the solar array. Considering the high slopes, undulating terrain, and high water influx, the team worked carefully but efficiently to install the ground screw foundations. Our crew utilized mud mats and proprietary equipment to move around the site safely. The team had to strategically plan the installation, tackling the more difficult parts of the site first, as moving into the Spring months would soften the ground making it harder to work on.

“The field crew for this job was amazing. They weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. They worked safely and efficiently to get the job done on time”

– Richard Van Fleet, Director of Project Operations
